399 is our latest offering in an annual release counting up to the 400th Anniversary of America's Hometown. This New England Double IPA pours an opaque golden/straw color and has a silky, soft mouthfeel thanks to an increased amount of wheat and oats in the grain bill. It's a bit of a chameleon in terms of aroma and flavor, ranging from papaya, tropical fruit, citrus, mango, peach & apricot due to a healthy dose of Simcoe & Azacca dry hops.

From the 16 oz. can stamped 11/11/19. Sampled on 12/21/19.
It looks a bit like a NEIPA with its foggy, cloudy pale yellow appearance underneath a modest. fading white head.
Pineapple, apple, and other juicy fruity characters are emitted in the aroma with a cereal malt under body.
Medium and smooth sailing mouthfeel.
The fruitness is more forward in the flavor nd that is why I enjoyed it. It was an easy sipper and not terribly bitter to end. A very nice 8 percenter.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Long Ridge Wine and Spirits in Plymouth for about fourteen dollars. Canned-on date in August. My fifteenth brew from these guys. Just ok, hopefully 400 is better.

Pours a lighter hazy pale yellow or golden color with a big fluffy white head descent lace. Aroma lightly hazy tropical fruity on light bready make base, not bad but not as in your face as some. Tastes is like the nose light tropical fruits but quite as juicy as some of the style but not bad average like. Some light grapefruit rind bitterness with hints of vegetables matter. Mouthfeel is lighter medium carbonation is wierd peppy but mellow at the same time. Overall eh not bad not great average or so.

From the can, it pours a hazy amber with a nice off-white head that was initially thick and then reduced to a robust layer. In the nose, it is a somewhat harsh pineapple and spice scent. In the mouth, however, it is pleasantly grapefruit and malt. Fascinating beer!

Can. Cloudy pale yellow orange with lasting head and lace. tropical fruit perfumy aroma. Medium tropical fruit grassy sweetness with strong pit fruit and harsh grapefruit rind perfumy bitterness which I guess is supposed to dry it. Medium full body soft but with lively fine carbo that exacerbates harsh perfumy bitter finish. terrible.
