Resistance is Fruitile is our sour ale brewed with blackberry and raspberry. The beer pours a beautiful dark, hazy magenta. Highly carbonated - it has a nice head that fades halfway down the glass leaving gentle lacing. Aroma of raspberry and blackberry will bring you back to childhood and enjoying berry popsicles on the back deck. 5% ABV with a thin body, this sour ale is tart but not overly so, making for easy drinking. Enjoy this fruity, tart, effervescent brew under a scorching summer sun with family, friends, and strangers alike.

Can to tulip.
The appearance was a great looking dark pink to almost purple/maybe amber color. Quickly getting outa town semi-foamy head, yup, that head didn't want to hang around whatsoever. No lace.
The aroma definitely portrayed the noted smells from the label. The blackberries and raspberries (red and black) fully authenticate a full throttled sour, tart and sweet blend of it all. Subtle lemon and grassiness ride the background.
The flavor leaned towards an initial blend of sour/tart raising in which glossed over some semi-sweet fruity tones and provided some acidic features. Subtle aftertaste of red raspberries and blackberries.
The mouthfeel was a almost medium bodied but sat just a touch under with a fine sipping quality about it. Sour punches throw in enough strength to push back the ability to want to throw this down my gullet quicker than I may have wanted to. Carbonation felt good. Finishes crisp with some blackberries and red raspberries.
Overall, pretty damn sure Mayflower did what they wanted to with this one. It's one I'd bang again!
