The beer pours light, bright and hazy with a substantial creamy white head which leaves some nice lacing in the glass. The aromas are bursting out of the glass; cloves, citrus and banana with hints of light bready malt. The flavors mimic those aromas of spice, citrus, banana, and a light background of toast and cake. The Heffe has a medium to light body and higher carbonation that is standard for the style.

Pours a foamy fizzy 1 finger head with moderate retention, hazy pale color
Nose creamy doughy wheat, cake batter, vanilla, a bit of citrus and banana esters,
Taste brings creamy doughy wheat again, a bit of vanilla cake batter and orange vanilla icing, semi sweet overall, with some interesting spices that even get a little heat spicy, more esters with banana and a hint of pome fruit, drier finish
Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, soft creamy, higher frothy prickly carb
Overall pretty good

Mayflower has been on my radar since that awesome Baltic Porter they brewed, Leather Bound Books. So naturally, when I see they have a Hefe, I gotta have it. Let’s see how they do with this one
Pours a clear yellow gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
There’s a nice sharpness in the nose which I don’t really get from the style but I’m enjoying. I’m picking up on aromas of lemon zest, ripe banana, crackery malt, peppery hops, orange zest, and light clove
That sharp vibe doesn’t work quite as nice in taste, but it’s still enjoyable. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lemon zest, peppery hops, spicy clove, ripe banana, honey, and crackery malt. The swallow brings notes of banana bread, peppery hops, bready malt, orange zest, clove, and light apple skin
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in crisp yet smooth beer. Finishes mostly dry with a bold fruitiness
A solid Hefeweizen. That sharp tang is unique and works in the aroma but not as much in taste

Pale straw gold cloudy with loud head that fizzes down to a ring too quickly. Delightful clovey with banana and bubblegum and tangy orange aroma. Medium sweet (for style) fruity and wheat tangy with mild herbal and minerally finish. SLightly fizzy but style better than being undercarbo'd. Nailed the flavor and aroma. Texture is meh. Overall, though, really really fucking good.
