This appears to be a barrel aged version of their 15th Anniversary ale.
Pours a hazy reddish brown color with a 1/2F head and light lacing.
Smells of malt, a bit of Belgian yeast, alcohol and dark fruit.
Tastes of sweet malt, red wine, plums and raisins with a sweet, lightly spicy, boozy warm finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Lush syrupy mouthfeel.
The aging of the original ale has caused it to become heavier and sweeter. The typical Belgian yeastyness is almost all gone. This gets better as your glass warms.
It's nice strong warming sipper. Try it if you can find it!
