This classic German style lager is brewed with Munich and Vienna Malts, and hopped exclusively with Tettnang hops. A long and slow fermentation followed by 4 weeks of lagering lend a smooth, malty and slightly sweet brew.

On-tap 5/31/2015 at Battleship Brewhouse, Fall River, MA served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is faint but contains lager yeast, honey, caramelized malts and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a hearty malt character. Then some sweet flavors of honey and caramel come in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is bready and slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Served on May 25, 2015 on tap at The Lower Depths in Boston.
Gold to amber color, clear. Good initial head. Leaves a ring of lace at the top of glass. No lace toward the bottom.
A bit of corn and a touch of earthiness.
Sweet malt on the tongue initially. A moderate flow to a neutral hop bitterness. Round (close to full) body. Good carbonation.

Half pint on draught in a stange-type "snack glass" at Bukowski's in Boston. (BA lists this beer as "retired," but Mayflower appears to have unearthed it for the season.
Appearance: Pours a clear copper with a short white head that sticks around a bit. Some ring lacing left behind.
Aroma: Earthy, grassy and slightly malty. Fairly neutral on the whole.
Taste: Tasty, richer-than-average lager taste with a grassy bite. Little sweet caramel, little biscuit.
Mouthfeel: Medium-to-low-medium depth. Not a powerhouse beer despite the slightly high ABV.
Overall: Nice springy bock. Mayflower is my favorite Mass. brewer as of now - I'll try anything they put out, and I'm glad I tracked down this. Paired really well with my hot dogs, I might add.

Poured into a pint glass. Had at New World Tavern--Plymouth
Appearance: 1/2 inch head, moderate carbonation, gold in color, clear
Smell: toasted malt and light caramel
Taste: big time sweet caramel, light mix of earthy and grassy hops that really show at end
Mouthfeel: very sweet with slightly bitter end, moderate carbonation, medium-light bodied
Overall: Delicious especially if you like sweeter beers. Reminds me a bit of the Southern Tier Cuvee beers without the oaking. Hopefully they will bottle this at some point.

Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler, the beer is a hazy, cloudy, yellow-gold coloring with a light, fluffy, filmy white coating of head. Aromas of toasted biscuits, floral highlights, and a subtle kiss of hops. Flavors are rich and roasted, with a butter and biscuit backbone supporting a mild fruit blend of pear and pineapple, along with a wet, subtle, resiny hops balance. Very solid lacing along the glass as you drink. The aftertaste is roasty and spiced, with a tangy fruit sweetness that borders on cloying. Smooth, midbodied, the beer has a rich, slick finish.
