"American brown ale aged on wood. Brewed with eight different malts and age for a short period on lightly toasted American Oak. The light bodied malt is nuisance by a slight Cherry sweetness from the wood. "
Pours a very dark black almost pitch with a very small head. Smells of wood chocolate anise and some hops. Taste almost made me gag it first with the anise had a bad experience with it once. Mostly getting a lot of wood brown malts and sweet chocolate. Body is kind of watery doesn't really work for such a dark bodied beer. Overall different but skip it unless you really like licorice
