Probably the best barleywine I've ever tasted. The beer poured a cloudy orange-brown, half-finger of foamy head. There was caramel malt, orange, & a nice bitterness The mouthfeel was a medium bodied, residual sweetness makes it a tiny bit sticky. Overall I thought it was very good.

Poured into one of their standard vertical glasses: cloudy orange-brown, half-finger of foamy head, bright gold highlights.
Had a hard time smelling this one, maybe due to the glass. Got a tiny bit of sweet malt, a swirl brings a mild veggie smell. Tried some more, just wasn't getting much.
Tastes of moderate toasty, caramel malt, orange, & a zesty bitterness that comes in quick & strong & then dominates the aftertaste. A subtle buttery taste shows up at one point -- different but not unpleasant.
Medium-bodied, residual sweetness makes it a tiny bit sticky.
Overall a little disappointed in the presentation -- I'd think they'd be a little more up on serving glassware. Not bad at all, but underwhelmed by what I expected to be a pretty awesome beer. For its strength, the booze was barely detectable til the end.
