Review from notes taken yesterday at the brewpub.
"This pale is simply hopped with a super abundance of the Simcoe hop! With a medium body paired nicely with a super amount of hop flavor and the perfect amount of bite, this ale is a delightful experience!"
This brew pours a clear light orange amber color with an offwhite head that is stained yellow. A curtain of lace clings all over the glassware. The nose of this brew is sweet fresh grainy malt aroma with citrusy hops that have some pineapple character about it as well with an extra fruity and floral aspect to the nose. The taste of this brew is a mixture of slightly astringent alcohol and resinous piney hop flavor. This is a medium bodied brew with a light level of carbonation. As it warms, some of the more fruity aspects of the nose come out in the flavor as well. Overall this is a pretty good offering that is very drinkable. I find simcoe to easily be overused and start to taste "catty." That was not the case with this offering.
