"This black IPA will not disappoint the stout lover, hop head, or Michael Knight! A medium to full body pairs nicely with an aggressive roasty hop finish! West coast stouts have nothing on this one!"
A - Pours a deep dark brown with an inch of tan colored head.
S - Smells of moderate pine hops and a touch of roasted coffee and chocolate. More hop forward.
T - Gawdarn! That's hoppy! Must have used the base of the Wylie IPA for this one because it has a very aggressive hop undertone. I got very little coffee or any other flavor and the sticky hops really drowned out any other beer for at least an hour.
M - Medium bodied but STICKY!
Overall I guess this is a good rep of the style. Very hoppy yet slightly velvet like with mild tones of coffee and chocolate but not for the faint of heart. I guess a true hop head would fall in love with the flavor but I will stick with my Black Cannon.
