Got this at the Rivertowne in Verona:
This medium bodied German red is balanced on the malty side with a uniquely smooth finish! The absense of a bittering hop addition combined with a completely unorthodox hopping schedule delivers the secret to this delicious pint!
A - Pours a dark amber with a slight ring of lace. Sticky lace at that.
S - Smells of slight caramel, bit of grains, and little hop presence. Sweet just the way I like it.
T - As expected a very smooth and very sweet. Starts off with a mild bit of grain bitterness then to a sweet finish of caramel and bread. Very tasty.
M - Light to medium, very easy drink ability.
Overall I guess this might be more of an Oktoberfest since it's sweeter rather than a red ale but Google classified it as such. Would get it again.
