Aroma: Crisp floral hops. Some grapefruit, no pine. Lots of caramel malt.
Appearance: Dark amber. Pours a tall white, thick and creamy head. Lots of lacing.
Taste: Nice and smooth. Caramel upfront, followed by floral hops. Smooth aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body. Mild carbonation. Slight drying, a bit astringent.
Overall: Beat my expectations for sure. The regular Wylie's IPA is OK, but imagining this same brew on cask, served near room temperature didn't have me too excited prior to ordering. Very impressive.
