Never had an Oatmeal brown ale before. I liked the Oatmeal so this must be good too.
"This American brown has a significant percentage of oatmeal in the grist supporting the creamy and delicious nature of a nitrogenated beer! With a medium body and smooth malt finish this beer is a tribute to both Otis from Andy Griffith as well as my wife's cat…the 4 dogs are mine!"
A - A dark amber brown almost pitch black with some ruby hues at the base. Head is slightly opaque.
S - A very nice bit of brown malt, caramel, and a touch of grain which I assume is the Oatmeal.
T - Wow this beer is good. Take the best aspects of a brown ale (nutty/roasty) and smooth those flavors out with the creamy aspect of oatmeal and you got this beer. The finish was spot on smooth.
M - Light to medium I could put a few down no problem
Overall a nice bit of flavors and low ABV make this a great beer to consume. Recommended.
