Our Brown Ale provides a pleasing malt aroma and flavor. U.S. 2-row and English chocolate malt provide notes of caramel, toffee, smoke and slight roast in a complex profile. Medium to light bodied, the sweetness is cut with U.S. Palasade and German Tettnanger hops.

"borderline brown ale" as called at the Carpenter Bar and Grill in Carpenter, IA.
A light nice drinkable brown ale. Quite clear brown color with highlights towards some darker reds and off-white cap. Aroma was soft and holding some toast. Richer flavor but off-set with the thinner body. Nonetheless, a nice darker malt with toasty flavor and quite a bit of drying on the finish. Went quite well with my Stormin' Norman jr.

First pint from a growler purchased a couple of days before. Light tone of brown with copper on the edges. A slightly off-white head that falls to a thin cap after a few minutes.

Roastiness, a bit of nuttiness, and a touch of toffee on the nose. All of the aforementioned notes are present in the taste. The toffee is more prominent than in the aroma and there is a slight note of caramel.

The beer is light on the tongue with a crisp finish and a slight roasty aftertaste.

This is a very good beer. Give it a try.

The beer is light to medium brown in color with a hint of copper. It is hazy with an off-white head that leaves medium lacing down the glass.

The aroma is dark roasted and toasted malt, nearing coffee.

The taste follows the aroma, it is slightly sweet with nutty toffee notes, but does finish pleasantly bitter.
