Poured on-tap at Charlie and Jake's, this beer was served in a pint glass. The beer is a light, auburn color with a sparse, filmy head. Caramel and nutty aromas, with a little hoppiness, too. Well blended smells. The flavors are light and the body is a bit watery, but very crisp, all of which surprised me after the appearance and aromas. The flavor is slightly nutty, but it is overpowered with pepper heavy hopping. Spicy aftertaste with a sharp, uneven finish. This could be a really good beer if the body was a little better balanced, IMO.

Pours a clear red with thin off-white head, no lacing again. Smell: toasty, caramel sweetness. Taste: lots of toasted, lots of caramel, earthy, slightly spicy and citric. Drying finish. This was the best of the three available beers, but that's not saying much. Slightly above average.

yes I too used to drink this down in Melboure Fl. (though i don't believe they brew on-premise anymore), we had our local homebrew meetings there, this is a pretty amber colored American amber ale w/ plenty of carbonation has a slight white head which dissapates fast, minimal lacing; the aroma reminds me of an american lager w/ some malt undertones; a crisp dry flavor w/ some hop bitterness, reminds me of a certain macro's amberbock a little, the light body & clean finish is what makes this a fairly drinkable beer.

Another solid, but not by any means exceptional red ale. A very smooth drinking beer, this would be nice while seated outside at Charlies.
Hazy lite copper, but just a smallish ivory head. Decent notes of malt and spice in the aroma, progressed into the quaff capably. Crisp and dry finish balanced it out well.
Again, solid, but Id liked the Annv Ale & brown better if on a limited timeframe, like me.

Went to one of my favorite watering holes today (they are also a bbq restaurant) and ordered up an Indian River Red on tap. They brew this on premises I believe (they have a glass window behind which is the brewing vessels). This beer has a nice ruby color with a small head. It has a nice hop taste to it, I could drink this beer all night. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
