A: single finger head on a clear copper and crimson body.
S: aroma is light but a nice balance of caramel malts and earthy/citrus hops is very nice.
T: fairly malt forward pale ale. Sweet caramel malts up front finishing with a slightly below average degree of hop character for a pale ale which is mostly earthy noble and citrus hops.
M: medium body and moderate carbonation.
Overall: definitely their best beer at this brewery. It's very drinkable and it shys away from hoppiness. Certainly could be a lot better but not terrible.

Poured on-tap at River City Brewing Company during a recent visit to JAX for a monday night football game. The brew pours a copper-gold color with a thin white head. There is noticable hop and slight malt scent to the brew. The taste is a slight balance between malt and hops. The beer itself is smooth and is light to medium in body with big carbonation. Overall it was ok....nothing to rave about.

Had on-tap at the Jacksonville brewery.
A - Beautiful rich dark golden to amber color. Off-white head is limited to the edge of the glass, but persists there.
S - Aroma is of British hops but fairly faint. No malt aroma. As with the other beers I tried here, all the aromas seem muted and faint.
T - Light hop flavor with some malt to balance. Little else for flavors. Very dry finish.
M - Light-to-moderate body. Medium level of hops bitterness. A bit of prickly carbonation.
D - Reminds me of Bass, but muted flavors and aromas. Another well-made beer from this brewery, but definitely on the light, easy-drinking end of the style.

Poured on-tap at River City Brewing Company, the beer was served in a pint glass. The brew pours a copper-gold color with a thin ring of film for head. There is a slight, sweet malt nose to the brew. The flavors are initially caramel malt sweetness, with a very slight hint of hops. The beer itself is smooth and round, and it has an extremely light bitter finish. The aftertaste is also slightly bitter and sweet. The flavors were a little on the light side, overall. Usually there is a little more substance to a Pale, and this seemed a bit on the limp side.

This dark golden pale ale was topped with an off-white head that had good retention. The flavor had an unusually malty balance, with the malt nearly dominating the hops. Another detraction, IMO: this was a tad smokey.
A - rather earthy aroma featuring, as expected, hops.
M- crisp, if a tad watery.

The Jackson Pale Ale served in a standard pint, the beer is dark bronze with a hint of a white head. No lacing to speak of.
The aroma is a little underpowered. There is a bit of piney cascades and some malt. They need to turn this up a few notchs!
Taste is also a bit weak. Given the description on the menu, I was expecting some decent hoping. There is a bit of pinesap backed by caramelized malts, but this could easily pass for a very mild blonde.
The mouth is pleasantly sticky, but the overall drinkability suffers from the washed out aroma and taste.
