This establishment no longer brews its own beer. When I visited on October 15, 2004, the bar maid said they stopped brewing about one and a half years ago. They did have about 6 - 8 beers on tap, including Warsteiner, Red Hook ESB, a hefe weizen, and I think Blue Moon, in addition to the usual macro brews.

Service was excellent and the food was above average.

Not worth going out of your way to visit. All of the brewing equipment is still there and is on display, but no one knew if they would ever brew again.

They are closed on Mondays.

Bootleggers used to brew their own beer. While the brewing equipment is still visible, the bartender explained that the brewmaster couldn't get the beers to taste very good, so they abandoned the process. I went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was dead. You could only get service at the bar. They had a very small selection of beers on draft, a very small selection of beers in a bottle and they were all mass-produced water passing itself as beer. The only redeming quality was the friendly bartender. Strictly a place to grab a beer in downtown Englewood since their is no other place to go.
