At the brewery.
Pour is pitch black with a big white head. The smell is roasty, but not overbearing. Nice heavy chocolat and coffee presence, but nothing rediculous. The flavor follows suit. Lots of coffee and dark chocolate, but the roasted malt is nothing more than an accent.

On tap at the brewery.
Black in color with a large lasting tan head.
The aroma is very ashy and roasty with coffee grounds and a hint of sweetness.
Very dry and roasty flavor with huge roasted/black malts and coffee.
Dry as hell from the roast with medium-plus body and higher carbonation.
Above average but not too notable stout, other than for extreme roast, overall.
