Draft at Sam's in Durham. Vintage 2012 Keg. 7% ABV
Pours a dark murky reddish brown very reminiscent of a flemish red. The smell is mildly tart with some cherries in there. The taste is almost spot on for the flemish red style...A good amount of sourness but not overwhelming. Sharp and tart flavor...you can tell they used a wild yeast strain for this one. i still get a sweet cherry flavor too on the back end, sourness not lingering. Medium bodied with mild carbonation.
overall they nailed this beer...impressive.

This thing looks like a dark lambic, something like La Roja. I get hints of the Belgian Double flavors, but the sourness really makes itself known quite well. Its balanced, with a nice sweetness offset by the sourness. The dry sugar is there, but the lacto flavors check that sweetness.
