On tap at Wine 101

A - light pink with a large amount of carbonation rising to the top; a soft, thin, white head that has a short lived retention

S - very fruity, Belgian yeast, some faint spice

T - tart, sweet, some strawberry, some cherry, Belgian yeast and spice in the finish

M - medium bodied, crisp

This is a nicely done beer by TBC. It's highly drinkable. It's not over the top sweet or tart. The fruit flavors are really well done. My only complaint is that their house yeast seems to want to come to the forefront in both the nose and the flavor. If the yeast were a bit more subdued, I think this could be a really tremendous beer. As it is though this is definitely worth trying. I'm so glad I stumbled upon it.

I love lambics, sours, and wild ales. Anything with funk and biting sourness. This one hits the mark perfectly. Not too sour, but definitely has a nice bite. The sweetness of the cereally malt makes it nice and smooth. Great cloudy golden color. Loving this beer! A great effort. Might head up to the brewery to grab some growlers if it's still available.

Pour is a very hazy bright gold. pours at the brewery had a giant head, but this growler fill doesnt have as much carbonation. I like Belgian Lambics to flatten a bit.

Smell is sweet green grapes, a touch of funk, and a sweriously sweet malt backbone. Kind of like a candy sweet. A bit too sweet for a lambic, but all in all not bad.

Light slick sourness that really doesnt dominate. A nice dose of green grape rind and sour apples, but still in balance. Nice bit of apple cider vinegar as well.
