On tap at Albany Pump Station in Albany, NY.
This one pours with a dark brownish hue, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like very light hops- pine and grass, mainly, with some light chocolate and roast.
This is kind of tepid and flat. Both the "black" and "IPA" segments of this beer seem to be fighting to not be noticed. It's only lightly bitter, and the malt character is very weak and basic. The beer doesn't seem to have any idea of what it wants to be.
This is light bodied, thin but kind of creamy, with a decent level of carbonation.
This is hardly a good style to even attempt to begin with. Add to the fact that this is a very weak attempt at a flawed style- and you have a beer that I would not recommend to anybody.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
