On tap at the Albany Pump Station. 12oz pour into a tulip.
A: Very dark brown, almost black with a finger or so of tan head. Slight reddish mahogany around the edges of the glass.
S: Bourbon and caramel. Mild vanilla notes. Light sweetness.
T: Lots of caramel/toffee going on here. A bit sweet. Very strong bourbon flavor, but not much heat. It melds together very nicely. Very drinkable.
M: Smooth and creamy. Nice carbonation. Perhaps a touch thin.
O: A very nice beer and a very unexpected surprise. This is really quite good. I could get used to them having this on-tap when I go there for dinner. Worth seeking out.
