A - Pours an fairly clear amber-brown color with a nice finer of fizzy head. The head fades fairly quickly and leaves behind minimal lacing.
S - Aroma is fairly sweet with some nice carmel malt elements. Also some deeper and lighter smells from some brown sugar and bread aromas.
T - Starts off a little bit sweet and carmel malty and builds up a tad. Then a bunch of flavors join in including brown sugar, a bit of maple sweetness, and a touch of dark fruit. Which leads into the finish, which is just slightly bitter.
M - Medium bodied with medium-low amount of carbonation. Overall, a very smooth beer, and the nice dry finish is fairly satisfying.
D - Overall, a very drinkable beer. The beer starts a bit timid, but the flavors that come in really open up the palate a bit. It is a really crisp and refreshing beer.

A real malt-bomb here -- I was lucky enough to be able to grab a growler just a day or two after this was first tapped. Poured out of my growler just one day after filling, and although the carbonation was a bit disappointing, with a good hard pour the bubbles came.
Dark amber color with a thin tan head. Smells like a sweet bread (like a banana bread, but not so strong on the banana, if that makes sense), caramel, and walnut. Minimal hop aroma, and likewise, minimal hop flavor. This one's all about the malt, and it hits your palate with loads of brown sugar, toffee, some maple, a slight fruitiness, and a chalky, dry, slightly bitter and roasty finish. Mouthfeel is rich and smooth, as one would expect. Not my favorite bock of all time, but a solid effort here, and worth trying if you are at the brewpub.
