This was a wonderful beer. I was passing through Albany and stopped in to have dinner and a beer the Belgian strong was good enough I could not leave with out a growler. I brought it home and a few days later I relived the experience. The beer was a nice straw color with just the right amount of hops and malt aroma tickling the nose. I could not really get much of a head on it from the growler but the beer was still fantastic. Hints of banana and sweetness permiated the whole glass.

On-tap at the Albany Pumps Station.

A: Pours a deep golden hue. Half a finger of white head, with lots of lacing on the glass.

S: Belgian yeast, lots of spice. A bit peppery, light hop notes and malt sweetness.

T: Nice and spicy with an excellent Belgian yeast character. A bready, malt backbone with nice hop notes and a slight hint of alcohol.

M: Smooth, sweet and nicely carbed. Very drinkable at 10%.

O: Overall, a very nice take on a Tripel. Really hides the alcohol well. My second favorite beer at the Pump Station.

A-Clearish golden yellow, lacing is left behind.

S-Wheat, yeast and some citrus flavors poke though as well.

T-Very similar to the nose. A lot of wheat and yeast characters. Not as much bitterness as I would expect though.

M-Medium bodied, not much carbonation.

O-A solid beer, would have liked to have seen a little more in the hop profile though.

Draft at the brewpub. Marketed as a triple, its like the pale only more yeasty. Some brown sugar. Above average mouthfeel. Yellow with lace. Boozy, pepper, corriander, ginger. Not very complex, and not hitting the style, but a good beverage subtracting the high alcohol.

On tap at the brewery

A: Nice golden straw color. Minimal white head with spotty lacing.

S: Nice mix of hops and yeast. Very spicy as well. Sweet malt holding everything back. Nice complex nose.

T: Follows along with the nose. Spicy up front then a nice sweetness. Just a solid tripel with a little bit more hops to give it more balance.

M: Really nice mouthfeel. Nice syrupy coating feel. Super dry finish.

D: I was pissed I did not have a growler in the car. Super drinkable. Went well with my meal. Top notch.

This ale has a light yellow\straw color with a big bright white head. The aroma was spicey at first with a nice sweetness playing aroung the edges. Again the spicey characteristic starts followed by a light sweetness that seemed to me to have just a hint of banana. This Triple rolls like silk across you tongue.
