Had this on tap at the pump room, choose it over the Nut Brown as a result of its being a seasonal and wanting to take advantage.
Poured this beer looked like mulled cider. There was ZERO head which made me a little aprehensive, I was hoping for at least a little suds but there was nothing here. Sweet on the nose, with wheat mixed in. The beer tastes like a cidery hefe. Only the second dunkelweiss I have tried and not the best that I have ever had. They didn't serve it in the hefe glass though. Maybe that made the differance. Still a dissapointing brew, in my book.

Served in a Hefe-style glass, it had a tawny brown color and was somewhat cloudy. Head was tan and creamy, yet lasted only a short time, but did leave nice lacing. Nose was pleasant, with a light touch of malty sweetness with banana and clove notes thrown in. Body was in the medium range, and on the tongue was a slight bit of carbonation, yet nothing to detract from the mouthfeel in any way. Flavor seemed to be quite on for the style. Again, a bit of malt sweetness, some wheatty sharpness, banana and more clove. A very refreshing bier! Prosit!!
