Dark with deep amber hues. Tan head that sticks to the side of the glass throughout.
Deep aroma of malt, chocolate and slight coffee.
Flavor is big with chocolate and toasted wood. There is a mild creamy and caramel malt note.
This beer goes down very well. It's certainly stronger in flavor than a lot of average porters. I could really drink a lot of this.

Had this brew on tap the other night. Have not been over to the Pump Station in a few months so was happy that I was able to grab it while it was on rotation. Brew was poured to a dark brown to black color with a nice dark tan head that had fair retention and left some lacing along the glass. Has a very pleasant aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and a noticeable smoked smell that is really nice. The taste is extremely smooth, with chocolate and coffee like flavors. Not much of a hop flavor, but that is ok. What really sets it off is the underlining smokiness that is tame but more noticeable at the end of a sip. All of the flavors go well together. This is a good brew, one I will get again.
