September 2013: 330 ml bottle. ABV is 5.0%. The colour of the beer is not very "schwarz", more deep reddish brown. Large to moderate off-white head. Pleasant malty aroma, notes of bakery / dark bread and caramel. The flavour is equally nice, dark bread and some caramel again, also some roast malts throughout. The hops are very moderate. Would buy again.

33cl bottle served into a generic glass in Zurich, Switzerland. Reviewed from notes taken June 1010.
A: Pours a one finger head of nice cream, good thickness, and good retention. Colour is a dark caramel-black.
Sm: Caramel, nuts. Vague malts. A moderate strength aroma.
T: Coffee, slight roast, some dark berry esters on the finish, caramelized malt, and barley. Messy but balanced. Very scattershot.
Mf: Nicely smooth and wet. The best aspect of this brew. Still, it doesn't feel tailored to the flavour profile.
Dr: Decent quality here, but not special. At best a pedestrian example of the style. Meh.
