Pours an amber color with a great sized head and retention, leaves a good ring of lacing.
Smell is strong in hops with a slight spiciness and some grapefruit citrus aroma, subtle caramel malt backbone.
Taste starts out strong with an earthy hop kick, melds into a grapefruit aftertaste, crisp, leaves a decent bitterness throughout, good citrus presence, a very strong IPA offering from North Star.

Pours a bright and darker gold / somewhat amber color with a decent white head.
Aromas are very hop dominant. Citrus like, with some grapefruit, and a malty hard candy sweetness.
Taste is quite dry, bitter, and biting. A clean crisp feel to it, with some creamy malts, a touch of sweetness, and a mineral like hop bite of the finish. There is also a citrus grapefruit like bitterness as well.
Mouthfeel is good. Beer is crisp, with a nice full feel, and good carbonation.
Drinkability is this beers strong suit. It's a tasty IPA, that is easy to sip, surprisingly refreshing for a strong bitter tasting beer. Nice on a hot day. I think the brewers must have known this...
