Pours pitch black, little head....
Aromas of strong coffee.... Taste is quite bitter, strong roast. Almost bubbly, fizzy, completely at odds with style.
Quite powerful for ABV... Not to my taste due to excessive bitterness, but well made.

Pours very dark brown with a fading head.
Nose shows liquorice, resinous piny hops and some roasted malt.
Flavours include well-rounded complex dry roast, a hint of piny and grapefruit-like hops followed by an assertive bitterness.

330ml into pint glass
L - dark brown/black, thin brown head.
S - dark cocoa , cherries, coffee beans, hint of pine
T - well roasted malts and dark choc upfront, with an ash-like smokiness and coffee beans near the finish. Lingering choc and berry finish
M - full bodied, slightly dry texture, moderate carbonation
F - taste is full on - almost like the malts have been burnt. Bit overpowering.

I had a 330ml bottle. First time I've tried this stout. This beer won a bronze medal at the 2014 CBIA craft beer awards in the 3H category (American Style Stout).
Appearance: very, very dark. Pours with Google looking creamy brown head. Everything you'd like to see.
Flavour: rich roasted grains offering lots of coffee flavour up front and bitter coffee finish. Full bodied and smooth. Enjoyable style. A beer you'll have one of at a session given richness, full body and high ABV.
Aroma: dark or burnt toffee/coffee. Tobacco notes as well. Very good.
Overall: I enjoyed this stout for its rich coffee bitter flavours and smooth full bodied creamy mouthfeel.
