12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 5/31/18.
Foam bomb on first and second pour. After settling, a deep brown, mostly opaque. Aromas of chocolate, malt, vanilla, light caramel. The taste is bitter, really bitter up front. Not like a hop or malt bitterness. Light malt, light chocolate, a little caramel, faint vanilla. A little harsh, a fairly thin body, way over carbonated and fizzy feeling.
Not a style that normally impresses me, and this hasn’t altered that perspective.

The beer gushed a bit when opened, and poured with a huge but fortunately short-lived light tan head. The beer itself is coffee brown. The head fell to a foamy ring with minimal cling.
The smell was of coffee and roasted malts, but lacked intensity. Pleasant enough, but fairly weak.
The taste opened quite bitter and charred, which dominated the taste. The coffee and some chocolate flavor eventually emerged. Not unpleasant, but the bitterness was somewhat surprising. Half expected this to be infected given the gush, but no particular off flavors were present.
Too effervescent and pretty thin for a stout.
Not a great example of the style. My bottle was far to carbonated and far too thin for the style. The bitterness and charred flavor is out of proportion - almost a reversal of the expected flavor profile. Can't say I would recommend this particular beer.

Poured into a clear mug.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Slight lace ran here and there.
The aroma had a nice gentle sweet coffee, almost espresso-like running into some mild tones of earth and roastiness.
The flavor was mainly the coffee and then some dark chocolate came in for a mild balance. Slight aftertaste of the roasty coffee sweetness with a little bit of toast.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a semi-sessionable quality about it as the roastiness doesn't seem invasive. Fair smoothness along my tongue. Carbonation was mild. ABV felt spot on.
Overall, pretty nice as an Irish dry stout. I'd have again.

Pours a very dark brown with significant head.
Smell is coffee as one might expect.
Taste is coffee but much milder than expected by the nose.
A little thin and watery.

A - slightly opaque brown, medium head
S - mild everything. Muddled coffee, malts, little oatmeal
T - still muddled and muted
M - well carbonated at least
O - mostly meh, it's not even on my list of beers to enjoy as a last resort

Pours cola brown with red ruby highlights. Black, opaque in the glass. Full 2 finger tan head and recedes to soapy film and full collar.
Nose is oatmeal and coffee. Pretty strong on those smells for a dry Irish.
First taste doesn't open up a heft of those flavors though. Very light coffee flavor. Slight roasted malt bitterness and faint chocolate. Not getting much hop bitterness.
Light bodied for sure, lower carbonation. A touch watery and clean finishing.
Initial aroma hinted at some decent flavors but the taste never really found any character. There were some faint flavors but nothing that really stood out. Watery feel contributed to muted flavors. I
