Black with a thin tan head. Messy lacing.
Nice roasted malts in the nose with a hint of vanilla bourbon, and even smaller hints of cherry and chocolate.
Dry roasted malt up front in the taste. Ashy chocolate mid-palate. Creamy lactose and chocolate finish. Just a kiss of bourbon and alcohol.
Heavy, creamy feel with decent carbonation.
Not very "barrel" forward, but a delicious base stout with a kiss of something extra.
