Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a brownish amber color with a tiny head of off-white foam. The head fades fast leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a toasted malty bread smell mixed with lots of brown sugar, molasses and caramel. Along with these aromas comes notes of a nut smell as well as some light hop aromas.
Taste – The taste is as one may expect from the nose. It has a toasted bready base, giving it a big malt presence. At the same time there is a good level of sweetness with a decent showing of caramel and brown sugar, as well as some flavors of pear and apple. As the taste advances the roasted flavors and sweet get even stronger, leaving one with a heavy malty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is heavy and thick for a 6.1 % brew with a lower carbonation level, both of which are appropriate for the style and the tastes.
Overall – A rather decent Oktoberfest brew that is nice for the cooler weather. Fun to at least give a try too.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as a 5oz sample. It poured a clear copper with thick white head that is is not leaving any lace. The scent had caramel malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and subtle bittering hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

A moderate pour from a 16-oz. can nets a finger of creamy off-white foam with long retention and broken rings and blotches of lace. Penny with 1/2 it's luster color, cloudy and translucent.
Baked bread and rising dough greet the nose with faint herbal and grassy hops. Some sweetness from caramel malt with wheat and a general graininess.
Mild taste of toasted and caramel malt with toasted wheat, faint apple and pear.
Semi-dry with hints of sweetness and average hop bitterness. Bitterness rises as peppery spice hides the alcohol. The finish is long with a slight astringency. Spices linger briefly.
Light-ish on body and malt bill, average carbonation. Not quite smooth yet well balanced, a little thin but not watery. Between a Marzen and a Festbier, leaning towards Festbier.

No can date
Pours a light fizzy head that fades quickly, no lacing, semi clear amber tan orange color
Nose sweet reddish toasty malt, amber malt, caramel candy notes and fruity lager, very light herbal earthy hop
Taste semi sweet toasted reddish amber malts, little caramel, big candy syrup, fruity lager notes, toffee, hint of earthy herbal hop, sticky sweet finish
Mouth is med bod little syrupy sweet, decent carb
Overall eh, not a very good beer, at least they didn't call it a marzen but it's still not a great lager, Ipswich makes some good beers, but this is not one
