Appearance: Inky black body with a bubbly, beige head.
Smell: Roasted malt nose with notes of bittersweet chocolate and, to a greater degree, fragrant pine resin.
Taste: Roasty maltiness with a taste of unsweetened chocolate and very, very little sweetness to go around. Earthy, piney hop flavor with a medium bitterness. Finishes dry with a lingering taste of pine sap.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: No thanks. As much as hops can bring to a beer, I feel it can really take away when overused in stouts, and, as such, I didn't care for this or even other hop-forward stouts such as Happy Ending of Black Flag.

Cask at the Atlanta Cask Tasting.
Pours dark brown with a big bubbly tan head that recedes slowly and leaves a hint of lacing.
The aroma really caught me off guard as the dominant smell was hops, floral and earthy hops. The underlying stout aroma were barely noticeable with only a hint of the roasted hops.
The taste is a little more balance with the dry hopping still dominating up front but the malts come our a good bit with a solid roasted character a some sweetness.
The mouthfeel is very smooth, probably due to the oats, with a prickly hoppiness in the finish.
I honestly think this one would have been a little better without the dry hopping, or at least with a little bit less. It's still a good beer, just tough to make out the underlying stout.
