First had: on tap at the Dunedin brewpub
Cloudy light amber pour, with a small white head that retained as a ringlet, and left a bit of lacing on the glass. Light, hoppy aroma, citrus notes, and a bit of stone fruit. The idea with this beer was to make a lighter, more sessionable IPA, and I think they nailed it pretty good. Taste of citrusy hops, orange blossom sweetness, with a solid malt backbone that kept the beer from being watered down. This kind of almost came off more as an APA than an IPA, but who's really keeping track? Light-medium body, fairly crisp, and definitely drinkable. Quite good overall, considering what they were shooting for.
