PBC Broken Bell on tap at South Philadelphia Taproom in, duh, Philly.

Here we have yet another terrible beer from one of the worst breweries ever. Smells like grandma's two-day-old soiled diapers. Foul and off. The taste is of musty old hop and Mad Dog 20 20. Sweet, under carbonated, fizzy like spritzer.

Imagine drinking an expired dusty IPA you found on the turd shelf of the beer store. Only this is worse AND it was probably brewed last week. Thin, watery mouthfeel and nasty, dirty-water-like aftertaste. Overall, a disaster that not even a homebrewer should be allowed to brew.

Golden-orange brew with a cropped head of white. Looks somewhat benign in a shaker pint.

Semi-spicy hops (Amarillo?), overripe pineapple, dank citrus, honeyed malts, and pine. Not too bad.

Spicy hop with unsweet pineapple rind, orange-lemon, melon, pine, grassiness, and caramel malt chunk. Not sweet. Bitter and fruity, with a kick. Alcohol helps that. It's tasted, as well.

Sure, it's hot, but it wants to drink like an IPA. Forget the 9%, folks. Bushy carb rustle over a stocky medium body. Exceptionally drinkable.

We have a winner here. Thanks, Philly!
