Dark brown-black, brown-read on edges, thin offwhite head and spotty lace. Like the rest of the beers, it came out ice cold. Once above freezing, smell is earthy, mildly roasty, caramel, slightly leafy. Taste: light roastiness, some caramel, a bit of smoked peat. Not terrible. ABV in the 7% range, but well hidden.

Draft at the brewpub. Fairly roasty aroma with coffee-tinged components and a fairly robust dose of hops. The body is a dull matte black and holds a thin mocha head that is both bubbly and diminishing. Fairly hoppy fore melds with the roasted/bitter notes of the grains and some mild chocolate and dark chocolate notes to pull out some decent flavor, but the watery finish shows a lack of follow through and left me fairly underwhelmed on the whole.

Sampled at the West Palm Beach location. Another good seasonal as Brewzzi’s expand their offerings from lagers into ales. This baby was one of the best ones during the night. Mahogony brown with a tan head that laced all the way down. Could really smell the roasted malts, and they came through in the taste. Nice dry finish from the hops. Good to see Brewzzi have something with more ummmph on the menu. Good Job!
