Taken from notes made at dinner last night. Poured into a chilled pint glass by the bartender.
A--Musky orange color with a soft foamy stark-white head that dissipated quickly. Good spiderweb lacing throughout the drink.
S--First there's a wave of bitter hops. Then comes the sweet citrus scent of lemon peel, grapefruit, and oranges. There is a bit of a malt backbone, but it is not overpowering.
T--Very bitter on the palate at the start. Nice hop flavoring. A bit of hop oil initially as well. Then comes a fresh grass taste that is washed away by a sweet citrusy finish.
M--Very heavy body that feels good on the tongue. There's a nice carbonation to this beer. Very bitter in the mouth. After taste is pleasant and lasts a long time.
O-This is probably my favorite brew from this brewpub. I really enjoy this place. This beer improved as it warmed up. By the end of the glass the beer was full of flavor and aroma.
