A classic helles, simply a rebrand of ABK Hell for M&S as far as I can tell, brewed by a group that know what they are doing. Malty crisp clean taste is very quaffable.

Bottle. Clear straw. Gently rising bubbles. Thin head.
A clean scent of light citrus and grain.
Straw flavoured hops with bready malt.
A tight, crisp, and refeshing feel. A medium but zingy carbonation.
Enjoyed on a hot summer's evening.

L- Pale gold, clear, pours with 1mm cap of bubbles.
S- Mild, bready.
T- Mild, bready grains, light malts, then some brighter hops appear.
F- A touch richer than a 'straight lager' or UK factory lager. Decent carbonation.
O- Quite uneventful to be honest, hence the sparse comments above^. It's inoffensive, balanced for what it is but lacks character, not to remember it for. Not one I'd buy again.
Now I've rated/reviewed it I'll read the bottle. Brewed by ABK, hmm my 3rd brew from them and I see my two other reviews were as here, disappointed. Wiki states the brewery is owned by a US billionaire hair-care mogul hmmmm.
M&S already stock a few 'German lager' lines from Krombacher and Augustiner, the real deal. Why they bothered own-labelling this one, beyond $$, I can't imagine.
