De Labirratorium. En copa hefe de Bavaria. Leyendo sobre BPMN. Excelente Dunkel. Superbebible y con un puntito a tostado y regali, con algo de banana, realmente delicioso. Se acaba de un trago

my first beer from these guys, who the cap of the bottle tells me have been around since 1308! wow. this is a pretty basic dunkel though, nothing real remarkable about it, and its a little sweet and a little heavy to me as they go, certainly not in the realm of the best german made beers in this style, but its an enjoyable drink this evening with a veggie pizza. it has a nice deep chestnut color with a very short live rise of white bubbles, flat after just a minute. it smells nice, molasses and cooked red apple, raisin and light smoke, dark wet heavy bread. the flavor is the same, a little tired to me, and i think thats because i cant taste much of the lager yeast here, even though overall its still pretty quintessentially german. it doesnt dry this out quite enough either, although there is some nice nuance from the grain, maple and wet wood and bran, toffee and coffee, darker than some, slightly oxidized unfortunately, but overall flavorful and sturdy take on the style, even though i want a little more from the yeast. good not great.

Yet another from this seemingly prodcutive brewery in Bavaria. A decent example of a German Dunkel, the right notes of toasted grain and deep, dark brown color. Nothing stands out, but not disappointing either. Picked up in a Bavarian six pack from Edeka....
