Pours the color of a dirty penny, minimal tan head, zero lacing, a hint of an oily residue on the glass. Hint of tart cherries in the aroma and obviously bourbon. Taste buds get toffee, caramel, ash, vanilla and oak. Oh yeah, some bourbon heat. Texture is a bit thin for the style, no carbonation. Most importantly this is a damn tasty beer. Best guess, its over a year old.

Prerty heavy on the cherry tartness, however I really enjoy the toffee undertones and smooth caramel finish. Loved the first few ounces, enjoyed the rest of the glass.

Pours a clear copper-amber color with a small tan head. Somewhat fruity aroma with cherries and caramel. Faint barrel and whiskey. Taste followed with a soft, fruity Barleywine. Sweet caramel and some vanilla notes with restrained barrel character. A bit hot on the finish as expected. Feel and carbonation level seemed true to style. Nice.

Had on tap. The thing that takes away from this one is the feel, with wood pulp/dust and booze burn distracting from the otherwise nice barrel character. The smell is the best aspect, really giving the beer a defining base of bourbon, wood, toffee, vanilla, molasses, and barley. Taste is more booze forward compared to smell.
