22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 2/2/19.
Pours a mostly clear medium amber, ruby around the edge, with no real head and a few specks of cling. Aromas of bourbon, caramel, figs, plums, dates, malt, light cherries, light tobacco and oak. Really smells good. Flavors of bourbon, plums, caramel, malt, some figs and dates, light tobacco. It’s fairly boozy. Smooth, a decent medium body but a little thin feeling, appropriately carbonated on the low side.
Have had this on tap a couple times, and the bottle is not as good for whatever reason. Great aroma, good flavor, surprisingly thin feeling. Enjoyable and worth a try.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at Whole Foods Market on April 29, 2019. Barrel-aged barleywine from the Brewers' Limited Reserve Series. Aged 6 months in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. Boozy.
