2018 vintage; drank 4/10/26 @ the Beer Temple.
Semi-opaque brown/red appearance.
Minimal off-white head; no lacing remained.
Luden's cough drop & faint wood notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Luden's cough drop flavor up front; wood & mild vinegar notes on the finish.
I never had this fresh; it's borderline unpleasant 8 years later.

Had on tap. Taste is intense with robust barleywine bite, smoke, cherry, vanilla, molasses, oak and booze. Very robust and powerful. Smell is not as powerful, with a sawdust like smell covering up some of the sweeter elements, but still very pleasant. The feel has a little dustiness to it, like the original, but otherwise quite full and smooth.

On draft at The Open Bottle. Pours an attractive ruby amber, with a ring of retained foam. Looks thin for 13%. Muted nose, some cherry, simple syrup, vanilla. Barrel oak and caramel on the tongue, balanced by floral English hops.
