Dark Secret - Maple (Double Barrel Aged)

Had on tap. Black viscous body with some brown surface lacing. Smell featured lots of oak, char, and whiskey, with maple, dark chocolate, and earth supporting. Taste hit the bitter notes harder than the sweet notes, refreshing, pretty much as it smelled but with the wood really expressing itself and enhancing the smoky char. Feel is woody, boozy, heavy, viscous, and smoky. A sipper for a crisp fall night, much better than the regular BA version, leans into its identity more
