The vanilla comes out right in the first sip. If you like Vanilla, definitely pick some up. Very interested to see how it ages

Good head production and decent retention, given the ABV and barrel aging.
Huge and incredible vanilla-forward aroma - like, as in nothing I've ever experienced in a beer. It smells like marshmallows floating in liquid vanilla, with lesser hints of chocolate, caramel, toast, and bourbon.
Similar on the profile, albeit less sweet, but just as rich with vanilla flavor. It's not unlike a s'more or a cookie, there's that much vanilla going on, just with far less sugar, letting the vanilla and bourbon carry the day. Slightly sharp, with notes of red grape and blackstrap molasses; the vanilla likely plays into that a bit, as well.
A touch hot on the palate; there's no hiding the high ABV.

Creamy & sweet, but not cloying. I enjoyed this quite a bit!

L: Pours a thick'n chewy black, has a dark brown head, no lacing but leaves an oily film on the glass.
S: Vanilla as soon as the can opens.,some cocoa, roasted malts, a hint of bourbon.
T: Toffee, burnt sugar, vanilla and surprisingly some cocoa.
F: Thin for the style, minimal carbonation, smooth and easy at 13%.
O: Very well done.
