Served in a tumbler.
Swear to God, that tap handle read "Dat Stout", not "Oat Stout". Maybe I am that bad with fonts... Anyway, this stuff pours a deep black-brown topped by a finger of tan foam. The nose comprises heavy roasted malts, light hickory smoke, and light chocolate powder. I'm pretty sure no actual smoked malts were used here, but there's definitely a barbecue-y character in there. The taste brings in more of the same, with the chocolate tempering the thick roast a touch. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fairly smooth feel. Overall, a very nice oatmeal stout, one I actually wish I had gotten to try on nitro, just for some extra velvety-ness. Good times.

Multiple growler pours into snifters, thanks Justin & Amanda for sharing! Review from written notes.
It pours black with a ruddy dark brown rim, and in the meniscus towards the end of the glass. Initially it has a very thin layer of creamy tan foam that dissipates fairly quickly, likely due to the growler serving. Spotty lace forms in odd vertical trails, forming "dotted line" patterning.
Smells like blackened toast, very toast-like in fact... second pour had some hints of coffee with cream and sugar, sweet coffee hard candy.
Similar flavors, lightly burnt toast, coffee, milk chocolate, slightly ashy aftertaste in a good way. Smooth and lightly sweet, low carb level, fairly light bodied but still substantial. Very smooth and creamy, almost like a cask serving. Overall a very good session stout, easy to have a few pints of. Would drink again if passing through Bourbonnais.
