Bottle 25 of 84.
A: Pours black with a small tan head on top, not much retention, leaving a thin ring on top. No lacing to speak of at all.
S: Very whiskey forward on the aroma. Underneath there is some chocolate, vanilla, and toffee. Still rather strong after 1+ year.
T: Quite smooth. Some milk chocolate and cocoa, definitely some whiskey, but not as in your face as the aroma was. A bit of brown sugar and molasses.
M: Full bodied with moderate carbonation, definite alcohol presence.
O: Haven't had many whiskey barrel imperial stouts, surprised by how in your face the whiskey is, this far after the beer was bottled. Still, a really nice sipper that I enjoyed over a long period of time. Cheers Brickstone.
