500ml brown bottle, the beer is bottle conditioned so it was poured slowly and carefully into my vase shaped pint glass (Old Speckled Hen badged).
The beer had a slight haze to its appearance, even though I thought I'd managed to keep all of the sediment in the bottle. The beer was a lovelly copper colour, a fine foaming off-white head sat on top. The head left some heavy lacing as the beer sank in the glass, I like to see that, shows good conditioning in my opinion.
Hops aromas hit the nose and they certainly give the beer a typical English Bitter flavour, meaning a bitterness to the ale.
Simple and pleasant, the 4.2%ABV suits it, a good session bitter.
