Berlin Art is a very solid Double IPA. It pours a dark amber with a modest one finger head and a full aroma of raspberry, honey, syrup, and subtle citrus. Very nicely balanced flavors: the 120 IBU are not overwhelmingly bitter, but rather lend the beer an almost sweet character. Additionally, there is enough caramel malt to prevent the hops from being overwhelming. It may be among the more balanced 120 IBU DIPAs I've tasted.
It is a little syrupy in the mouth and as it warms the alcohol becomes more discernible, but that barely detracts from an overall wonderful experience sipping this nicely made beer.
Kudos, Berlin!
