Served on tap at the Pittsboro location. Pours light brown with a very small white head. No lacing, no retention. Looks like a Yuengling.
Aroma was missing. I am not too familiar with the style but beer should smell like beer or something. This beer was lacking an aroma. Slightly sweet with tones of chocolate and raw grains.
Flavor was a bit better. Quite malty but a touch of hop bite in the back. Grainy with a bit of chocolate, toasted bread, oatmeal, and hazelnut.
A nice, solid, medium body with a touch too much carbonation. Drinks quite easily and is very enjoyable and sessionable. Not sure on the abv but seems low(er). Not very good looking but taste is acceptable.
