2007 Vintage. Crown sealed and wraped in plastic at the top.
A - Wow. This is the definition of bottle conditioning gone wrong. Went from storage area where it's been moved maybe once in 3 months to fridge 10 metres away to chill a bit for half an hour. Opened and tried to pour into a tulip glass. Fisrt slow pour got the bottom inch filled - the rest slightly off white head. Waited a few minutes but more head. Then noticed the foam start to rise in the bottle...to the point of overflowing. Anyway, after 10 minutes of waiting I get a half tulip glass of slightly hazy amber coloured beer with a lot of lacing from the excessive head.
S - Smell is sweetish, slightly caramel malt with some stewed fruit hints along with cinnamon and clove notes.
T - Taste is very much like the smell; sweet caramel and stewed fruit with noticeable but not overbearing cinnamon and clove spice notes.
M - A sweet syrupy medium body at first but the spice gives it some dryness. Medium carbonation.
D - Despite the crazy overcarbonation this is actually an OK beer. Not something I'd rush to try again but certainly not horrible either.
