From behind the Iron Curtain comes our Czech'rd Past. We're not ashamed and have nothing to hide. No regrets with this classic Bohemian-Style Pilsner. Served cold, like revenge, it cuts to the chase. It's the choice to make when you can't afford any more mistakes in life.

Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Pours a clear amber-brass topped by a finger of dirty white foam. The nose comprises lemon zest, lemongrass, mild biscuit, and a touch of honey. The taste brings in more of the same, the lemony-ness still taking center stage. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a crisp-ish finish. Not a bad pils, especially if you dig the lemony side of life (and hops).

12oz can from Halftime. Medium, clear golden, fizzy head. Musty, malty aroma. Malty, grainy taste, creamy. For me it recalls more of a märzen. Smooth, full.

Not golden (it’s amber) with minimal head. Aroma is haylike with a lot
Of caramel. Flavor also is very amber lagerish overall with some caramel and light noble hopping, possibly some diacetyl also, noticeable. Bitterness is moderate but a lot of caramel. Feel is a little blocky. Not really what I was expecting or looking for. Maybe should be classified as a Czech amber lager instead, but really reminded me of regular Yuengling.

On tap at New World Home Cooking, Saugerties, NY.
Dark bronze with clingy ivory. 4
Flowers and toast. 3.75
Caramel on toast, with grass and coriander seed. 3.75
Almost medium, round, sticky. 3.5

A bit thick and sweet. Needs more hops. No snap, either. Can’t really call this a pils, Czech or otherwise. 3.75
